A friend of mine who's a graduate student getting her masters in counseling needs feedback for a presentation for her multi culture class on controversies with society from the blind. She sent me the following and I heard them on youtube and find them offensive. Am I the only one? Why are they offensive or why aren't they offensive? Go to youtube, search for, and watch the following videos: "double blind sketch, "black white supremacist," and "SNL spoof ridiculed blind." Tell me if you find any of them offensive as a blind person. The Dave Chapelle skit is very edgy and uses the word "nigger" abundantly. The point She thought about making is about culture and how it affects us. If someone is blind, and everyone in their environment tells them they what they look like, how would they know who they are? Be honest. After you respond, she's going to run it by the professor before showing it to the class. If anyone can find videos for her to use please post the links or tell me how I can find them.
Does this need to go in a different catigory? No one is responding.
